CAMP AGUINALDO – NAGPAHATID ng pasasalamat ang Department of National Defense (DND) sa Jordan government dahil sa ipinagkaloob nilang dalawang Bell AH-1 “Cobra” attack helicopters para sa Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
“The DND thanks the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for supporting the ongoing capability upgrade of the AFP”, ito ang naging pahayag ni Defense spokesperson Arsenio Andolong kahapon.
Ayon kay Andolong, malaking tulong ang dalawang Cobra attack helicopters sa isinasagawang kampanya ng military laban sa internal security threats.
“The Cobra helicopters, in particular, will help in the AFP’s ongoing campaign against terrorism and violent extremism,” paliwanag pa ni Andolong.
Ang Bell AH-1 Cobra ay two-blade, single-engine attack helicopter na nilikha ng Bell Helicopter.
Sina DND Secretary Delfin Lorenzana at Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, ang lumagda sa memorandum of understanding sa panahon ng three-day official visit of President Rodrigo Duterte sa Jordan. VERLIN RUIZ
