TINUTUTUKAN  ng DOH ang pagbabago sa face shield policy.

Ayon ito kay Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire matapos aprubahan ng Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang rekomendasyon ng DOH technical advisory group na limitahan lamang sa high risk activities sa ilalim ng 3C’s o Closed, Crowded at Close Contact ang paggamit ng face shields.

Una nang ipinag-utos ng Pangulo ang hindi na pagsusuot ng face shield noong Hunyo subalit nagbago ang isip matapos bumulaga ang mas nakahahawang Delta variant ng coronavirus.

Samantala, bumaba naman ang presyo ng face shield sa ilang tindahan matapos ianunsiyo ang pagbabagong ito.

Ang dating P15 kada piraso ng face shield ay naging P10 habang ilang tindahan sa Divisoria sa Maynila ay bumagsak sa P6.
