PINURI ni Department of Tourism (DOT) Undersecretary Alma Rita Jimenez ang Hotel Sales & Marketing Association (HSMA), sabay banggit ang naging papel ng organisasyon bilang “critical and collaborative partner of the Department of Tourism.”
Sa kanyang mensahe sa harapan ng exhibitors at tourism industry leaders sa paglulunsad ng unang Great Room Sale, nagpahayag si Usec Jimenez ng apresasyon ng DOT para sa inisyatibo na galing sa hospitality accommodation sector na nang-eengganyo ng negosyo para sa patuloy na paglago.
Matapos na aminin na ang domestic market ang siyang nagpapanatili ng turismo ng bansa, inengganyo ng opisyal ang HSMA na gawing taunang okasyon ang Great Room Sale hindi lamang sa Maynila kundi sa mga pangunahing probinsiya ng bansa sa sinabing “there is vast potential to be tapped with more than 70 million Filipinos traveling all over the country at some point in time to see destinations, visit their families, relatives, and friends.”
Ang Great Room Sale, na ginanap noong Mayo 30 -31, ang siyang una sa sale promotion collaboration ng kung saan higit sa 40 participating hotels at resorts sa buong bansa ang naghandog ng abot-kayang staycation at resort getaway deals.
