DTI ASSURES BNPCS’ STABILITY AMID PRICE HIKE RUMORS

THE  Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) assures the public that the price and supply of Basic Necessities and Prime Commodities (BNPCs) in the country are stable amid the circulating price hike rumors when DTI-Consumer Protection Group (DTI-CPG) Undersecretary Atty. Ruth B. Castelo and DTI Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (FTEB) Assistant Director Marimel Dancel Porciuncula inspected one (1) supermarket in Quezon City.

The DTI-FTEB team reported that all monitored products still comply with the DTI Suggested Retail Price (SRP) Bulletin and some of the BNPCs are being sold at a lower price.
