DTI, TESDA PUMIRMA NG MOU SA SKILLSFUTURE SINGAPORE

PUMIRMA sa isang Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) sa SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) para makiisa sa human capital development at sa reskilling and skills upgrading of workforce.

“Through this MOU, we seek to partner with the Singaporean government and training institutions to improve the preparedness of our people for the needs of industry and the demands of the global market, especially in the Fourth Industrial Revolution,” pahayag ni Secretary Ramon Lopez.

Ang human capital at skills deve­lopment ay isang susi ng Philippines’ Inclusive Innovation Industrial Stra­tegy (i3S) at isang malaking elemento ng Inclusive Filipinnovation and Entrepreneurship Roadmap.

Sa Singapore, itinataguyod ng SSG ang kultura ng panghabang-buhay na pag-aaral at pagpapalakas ng city-state’s ecosystem ng quality education at training sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang kakayahan na siyang humuhubog sa industriya ng bansa para sa pagbabago.

“Singapore’s experience in industry and workforce development exemplifies the strong coordination between and among government, industry, training and the education sector, which we aim to foster in the country as we address skills mismatch and prepare our workers for future production,” paha­yag ni Undersecretary Rafaelita Aldaba.

Ilan sa mga lugar ng kooperasyon sa ilalim ng MOU ay sakop ang human capital development knowledge-sharing, workforce capacity-building, at pagsasagawa ng nararapat at natataon na pag-aaral sa pagdisenyo ng malawakang human capital development at skills training cooperation roadmap.

Ang MOU ay pinirmahan noong state visit ni Singapore President Halimah Yacob, sa okasyon ng ika-50 ani­bersaryo ng bilateral relations sa pagitan ng Filipinas at Singapore.
