BINIGYANG pugay ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga frontliner at kinilala ang ipinamalas na dedikasyon sa pag-aalay ng kanilang sarili bilang kabalikat ng pamahalaan sa pagtugon sa laban kontra COVID-19.

Sa kanyang mensahe sa paggunita ng Araw ng Kagitingan ay sinabi ng Pangulo na ang ginagawa ngayon ng mga frontliner ay repleksiyon ng kabayanihang ipinamalas ng mga mandirigma sa Bataan.

Dagdag ng Pangulo na marapat lang na kilalanin ang lakas ng loob at dedikasyon ng mga frontliner na walang pagod na humaharap sa mga hamon at peligro ng pandemya.

“ The valor of our forebears, which was exhibited during the defense of Bataan almost eight decades ago, has left an indelible mark in our history and shapes our indomitable spirit to rise after every fall,” wika ng Pangulo.

Kasabay nito ay kinilala rin ng Pangulo ang sakripisyo ng mga sundalo na nakipaglaban para matamo ang inaasam na kalayaan.

Ang araw na ito ay isang paalala tungkol sa determinasyon ng mga Filipino na ayon sa Pangulo ay kahit anong pagsubok na harapin ay tiyak na malalampasan ng mga Filipino. EVELYN QUIROZ
