SI Lana Roi ay Filipino-Canadian hyphenated beauty titlist at Canadian Got Talent
finalist galing Vancouver, Canada. Dati siyang contract star & recording artist ng Viva bilang front act singer-dancer ng girly group na Eurasia. Naging aktibo rin siya sa mga teleserye ng ABS-CBN.
Nakilala rin siya bilang regular singer sa City of Dreams at Resorts World Manila. Sa ngayon, abala siya sa pagpe-perform sa mga high-end corporate show.
Tipong nag-reinvent ng kanyang sarili si Lana Roi. She is into an extreme hobby or sport riding a drone invented by her business partner and husband Kyxz Mendiola.
On record, Lana who still carries her screen name officially has shown to an awed spectators driving by herself a maiden flight on a drone for several minutes the other year in an assigned flying ground in Batangas.
Said feat has inspired Lana’s Filpino mom Virginia Fenger to nominate her to the Guinness Book Record as the first woman to ride a model multi-copter drone of such magnitude.
This has an edge over thousands of first lighted drones in the Guinness record instead of lanterns in observance of a ritual in China that were flown mid-air but were on a remote control underground.
Just last year husband Kyxz formally launched his follow-up invention from Lana’s prototype also in Batangas called “Koncepto Milenyo” before a cheering crowd of manned drone aficionados.
The event was covered by CNN and Reuters. It became viral and showed Kyxz’s invention can fly as high as 20 feet and speed up to 60 kph and can carry up to 100 kg. He flew in it for over 10 minutes before a cheering crowd led by Lana herself.
Lana added the flying machine is powered by six lithium-ion batteries and can take one in five minutes instead of the usual one hour travel to get to the destination.
Kyxz Mendiola who was a former dancer and a sought-after director of photography and Lana have partnered with Star8 International for mass production of the invention for the global market.
Lana is the proverbial woman behind her husband’s breakthrough invention. Before joining local showbiz, Lana was a hyphenated beauty titlist — Miss Vancouver Universe, Global Teen Canada and Mayan World.
