INATASAN na ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ang pagbebenta sabay ipinakukumpiska na ang Cosmic Carabao Gin sa pagtatapos ng imbestigasyon ng insidente sa dalawang babae na nalason matapos nilang uminom ng alcoholic drink.
“The samples of the product collected and subjected to FDA analysis were found positive for methanol,” pahayag ng FDA sa isang Advisory No. 2019-188 na ini-release kahapon.
“The FDA hereby warns the public on the consumption of the implicated product as this is currently unregistered and has been confirmed to contain a high level of methanol,” pagbibigay-diin ng FDA.
Ang kompanya na gumagawa ng inumin ay ang Juan Brew Inc.

Kinontak na ang Juan Brew para sa kanilang pahayag o komento sa pangyayaring ito, pero hindi pa sila sumasagot.
