FDA NAGBABALA LABAN SA MGA PRODUKTONG ‘DI REHISTRADO

BFAD-FDA

“In light of the foregoing, the public is advised not to purchase violative products in the market,” pahayag ng FDA.

Samantala, ayon naman sa Robinsons Supermarket: “Product has already been pulled out.

“Our supplier assured us of compliance with all registration requirements,” lahad ni  Viveca Singson, communications manager sa JG Summit Holdings Inc.

“As soon as we learned about the advisory, we ordered the immediate pull out of the product until supplier can rectify the situation,” ani Singson.

“Moreover, the public is advised to always check if a food product is registered with the FDA,” sabi ng  regulator, sabay diin na ang food products ay beneripika na hindi rehistrado sa pamamagitan ng FDA  post-marketing surveillance.

Ayon sa  Republic Act No. 9711 o ang “Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009”, na sa manufacturing, importation, exportation, sale, offering for sale, distribution, transfer, non-consumer use, promotion, at advertising or sponsorship of health products,  bawal ang walang proper authorization.

“Since these unregistered food products have not gone through the evaluation process of the FDA, the agency cannot guarantee their quality and safety,” diin pa ng FDA.

“The consumption of such violative products may pose health risk to consumers,” dagdag pa nila.

“All FDA field officers and regulatory enforcement unit in coordination with the law enforcement agencies and local government units are requested to ensure that violative products are not sold or made available in their localities or areas of jurisdiction,” dagdag  pa ng DFA.
