RIGHT after naibalitang nakapag-file na ng kanyang COC ang pambansang mang-aawit ng “Anak” na si Freddie Aguilar bilang senatorial candidate under PDP-Laban, nag-issue agad ng derogatory remarks ang dating Senate President na si Koko Pimentel na diumano huwag daw seryosohin si Freddie dahil “rogue” candidate lang daw ito.
Maraming ibig sabihin ng salitang “rogue,” pero malapit ito sa salitang fake, fraud, scam o self-imposed. Tinatawanan lamang ni Freddie Aguilar ang nasabing batikos dahil kampante siya sa go-signal sa kanya na galing mismo kay Presidente Rodrigo Duterte.
“Siya (Pimentel) ang dapat hindi seryosohin dahil fell out of grace na siya sa partido ni Pres. Digong at mas bagay sa kanya ang salitang “rogue,” ayon sa statement ng mga supporter ni Freddie led by the well-known campaign strategist/king maker na si Ares Teng at ang presidente ng famous Owoep Talent Agency na si Ana Lou Chua-Olivar.
Kamakailan lang, itinaas ang kamay ni Freddie ng chairman ng membership ng PDP-Laban ng kabuuang Mandaluyong City Council na si Anthony Del Rosario sampu ng buong brotherhood ng Guardians sa isang pagtitipon-tipon para suportahan si Freddie.

ALL systems go for the musical play of Director Erwena “Winnie” Arguelles in cooperation with the Kapisanan Ng Mga Direktor Ng Pelikulang Pilipino (KDPP) aka Phil. Motion Pictures Directors Assoc. (PMPDA) of which she is the Secretary and under the umbrella of the Film Academy of the Phil.(FAP)/Film Dev’t. Council of the Phil. (FDCP).
Director Winnie is a veteran theater, TV and film artist who produces and directs her own projects under her Bella Facia Mul-timedia outfit.
This, according to the President of Yes With Your Events & Services outfit and marketing head Ms. Diane C. Magdaong. Billed “Pasimula” (Bagong Pag-asa), the cast include, among many others, BJ Forbes “Tolits” of “Eat Bulaga;” Pamela Ortiz who recently appeared in “Kung Matapos Ang Taglamig” as wife to Kristoffer King and mom to Ken Chan in Mel Tiangco’s “Magpakailanman;” upcoming teenage movie stars Nikka and Monique Ledesma-Lovino; and movie actor Zyruz Imperial who was a grand winner for Best in Theme Song and Interpretation from the Phil. Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies. He was also in the cast of the mammoth musical “Binondo.”
According to Director Winnie “Pasimula” is an advocacy musical about the prime importance of holistic and sustainable environmental education including respect for and preservation of Mother Earth.
She has imbibed the consciousness to make use of theater as medium primarily to inform and entertain in the late 60s from her mentor Cecile Guidote-Alvarez, founder of Phil. Educational Theater Assoc. (PETA) & RM awardee in Public Service and Communication.
