June Anthony Meñosa started his career as a web developer in 2006. By 2009, he became a web administrator and at the same time a part-time instructor at a school institution. By 2014, he became a system administrator in a mining company that is tasked with reviewing and monitoring the progress of a system being developed by a third-party IT company.
After reviewing their system, he imagined together with his friends that they can create better IT products and services. By December 2015, together with his friends, met up and decided to set up an IT start-up company. By January 2016, the Ontowa IT Solutions company was established and registered.
Later on, June Anthony became a member of a leadership organization and learned a lot in handling people, proper communications, and discipline. He also watches motivational and informative videos related to his industry of business. He also read business-related materials about the success and failures of IT companies.
Then here came the Kapatid Mentor Me (KMME) program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Go Negosyo that provided him the complete package of what he needed. It showcased knowledgeable mentors and a step-by-step guide on how to handle a business properly. After he graduated from KMME, the IT company improved in a lot of aspects of the business. Meñosa was able to implement what he has learned in KMME program, allowing him to start a couple of other business ventures in construction and in farming.
