MAGIGING tampok ang mga babaeng entrepreneur sa darating na “Gawang Pinay”, isang online trade fair na naglalayong magkaloob ng market opportunities para sa mga produkto na gawa ng women-owned at/o managed enterprises, o yaong karamihan sa mga empleyado ay babae.
Ang Gawang Pinay Online Trade Fair, ang unang digital market para sa women-led enterprises sa pakikipagpartner sa isang e-commerce platform, ay tatampukan ng hindi bababa sa 50 women-led Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) mula sa uba’t ibang rehiyon sa bansa.
Ang mga ibebentang produkto ay kinabibilangan ng processed food at beverages, gifts at souvenirs, houseware at décor, fashion accessories, wearables, specialty/heirloom, food at health, at wellness products.
“Women in the Philippines have always been at the entrepreneurial forefront and our country is blessed with many talented and determined women entrepreneurs. This is why we are proud to showcase their products that contribute to the country’s economic development,” pahayag ni Trade and Industry Secretary Ramon M. Lopez.
Hinikayat ni Secretary Lopez ang mga mamimili na bumili ng kanilang mga pangangailangan sa pamamagitan ng online selling platform na ito, lslo na ngayong limitado ang paggalaw at ipinatutupad ang social distancing sa bansa.
“These products have undergone transformation through the various DTI assistance and we are confident that these products will be patronized by our fellow Filipinos as part of the push to ‘Buy Local, Go Local’,” dagdag ng trade chief.
Layong gawing epektibong online sellers ang Pinay MSMEs, kinilala rin ni DTI Gender and Development Point Person and MSME Development Advocate Undersecretary Blesila A. Lantayona ang napakalaking potensiyal ng Filipina entrepreneurs na magtagumpay at baguhin ang kanilang negosyo at mag-ambag sa Philippines digital economy.
“We want our Pinay MSMEs to be adept in online selling and learn to partner with various well-known organizations in the e-commerce business,” sabi ni Lantayona.
