TARGET ng Barangay Ginebra na masundan ang 19-point blowout sa Meralco sa pagbabalik ng Game 5 ng PBA Philippine Cup semifinals sa Mall of Asia Arena ngayong Linggo.
Naitabla ng Kings ang best-of-seven series sa 2-2 kasunod ng 90-71 panalo kontra Bolts sa Game 4 kung saan ibinalik ni coach Tim Cone sina veteran guards LA Tenorio at Stanley Pringle sa starting unit.
Inaasahan ni Cone na magiging mahigpit ang laban ng dalawang koponan dahil ang serye ay natapyas na sa best-of-three.
“That is going to be a pivotal game obviously at this point. Now a best-of-three, that’s going to be a really pivotal game. That’s what makes series so exciting.”
Nagtala sina Tenorio at Pringle ng pinagsamang 21 points, 7 rebounds, at 6 assists kung saan pinalitan nila sina Maverick Ahanmisi at rookie Ralph Cu sa starting unit sa isang major adjustment na ginawa ni Cone makaraang maharap ang Kings sa 1-2 deficit sa serye.
“We were just looking more for a veteran presence in terms of trying to get…you know LA knows our execution like the back of his hands. He understands it, he knows how to get people into spots, he knows where their strengths are. And that’s something we need (in Game 4) because we’re struggling with our offense.
“On the part of Stanley, we know he gives us another scorer out there and also a veteran presence.”
Pumutok din si Japeth Aguilar sa laro na may 21 points at 6 rebounds, habang kumana si while fellow big Christian Standhardinger ng all-around game na 15 points, 11 rebounds, at 8 assists.
Naghabol ang Meralco ng hanggang 27 points at nalimitahan sa 32 percent shooting mula sa field (23-of-70).
Tumapos sina Allein Maliksi at Chris Banchero na may tig-14 points upang pangunahan ang Bolts sa most one-sided game ng serye sa kasalukuyan.
