GLORIA DIAZ ON LGBT: HINDI AGREE KUNDI CONFUSED

GLORIA-DIAZ

HANGANG-hanga ang dating Miss Universe Gloria Diaz sa kanyang anak na si Isabelle Daza bilangreflection bagong mommy. More than her being a super lola with her new apo, mas na-shocked si Gloria sa pagiging mommy ni Isabel.

Good influence daw kay Isabelle ang kanyang mister. Aminado siya na lumaki si Isabelle sa yaya gaya niya. Pero ibang-iba na raw si Isabelle now that she’s a mom also. Pati demeanor daw ni Isabelle ay nagbago.

“She’s gentle now. She speaks in whispers kasi her husband, the husband also talk to the baby in whisper. Maliit ang boses para hindi raw maingay. Stay away from so much noise. maingay ako ‘di ba? But, so, when I go to their house I’m also very quiet and everything.”

Nakausap namin ang former Miss U sa mediacon ng FDCP (Film Development Council of the Philippines)  para sa pagpapalabas ng iba’t ibang award-winning films mula sa local film festivals sa Cine Lokal titled “PelikuLAYA sa Cine Lokal: An LGBT Film Festival”  in partnership with different LGBTQIA+ organizations.

The lineup for this month includes the Sineng Pambansa national Film Festival 2013 drama film ‘Lihis’ directed by Joel Lamangan kung saan kasama ang mag-inang Gloria at Isabelle, ang “Si Chedeng at Si Apple” kung saan si Elizabeth naman ang kasama ni former Miss U directed by Rae Red and Fatrick Tabada.

Pasok din sa ipapalabas sa Hunyo 22 hanggang 28 sa maraming SM cinemas ang “Kasal” directed by Joselito Altarejos starring Arnold Reyes, Oliver Aquino, Rita Svula and Ronwaldo Martin. Lastly, ang documentary film “Outrun” directed by S. Leo Chiang and Johnny Symons.

“Well, I think it’s a new venue. Uh, I think it’s interesting especially that we have a lot of talent na has not yet been really uncovered. I’m talking about directors, scriptwriters, original stories. I think it’s a new venue that can become bigger and better and more original kasi the usual formula films parang medyo abused na talaga, e. Rich boy meets poor girl, ‘yung ganoon.

“Well, ako, confused is the word, not agree. On cases of marriage of same-sex is fine because it will help a lot of legal problems, inheritance, documents.  On case of maybe, third restroom? That is very, on bathroom, we’re still just starting to decide and I think because of the economy we really have to realize that if you are a girl, tomboy or whatever, go to the girls.”

May mga lugar sa Filipinas na iisa lang ang bathroom. So, for her, to have two bathrooms is a privilege and three is already a luxury.

“Almost something to aspire for. Actually, I’ve never been to a place, even in the States, that has three bathrooms.  Dito basta may flush, okay na. Tissue, oh, my God! Luxury. Five star hotel. E, ano pa kaya, three ‘di ba?”
