Agad naman nagpahatid ng pagbati ang Department of National Defense (DND); Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at pamunuan ng Philippine Air Force (AFP) kay weightlifting champion at first Olympic gold medalist Sergeant Hidilyn Diaz.

Magugunitang nangako ng dalawang Olympian na kasapi ng PAF na sina Sgt Hidilyn Diaz at Eumir Felix Marcial na sasabak sa 2020 Tokyo Oympic bago lumipad patungong Japan matapos mag paalam kay Sobejana na ihahandog nila ang panalo sa kanilang mga kasamahang nasawi sa C-130 plane crash.
