GOV’T SUBSIDY SA GOCCs BUMABA, P9.304-B SA FIRST QUARTER

NAGKALOOB ang national government ng subsidiya na umaabot sa P9.304 billion sa first quarter ng 2019 kung saan ang  National Irrigation Administration (NIA) ang tumanggap ng pinakamalaking pondo, ayon sa Bureau of the Treasury (BTr).

Sa datos ng BTr, ang subsidiya ng pamahalaan para sa first quarter ng taon ay mas mababa ng 79.45 percent sa P45.288 billion na naipamahagi sa kahalintulad na panahon noong 2018.

Ang pinakamalaking subsidiya ay napunta sa NIA na may P5.769 billion, sumusunod ang National Food Authority (NFA) na may P1.065 billion.

Ang iba pang government-owned and -controlled corp. (GOCCs) na tumanggap ng subsidiya sa ilalim ng million mark ay ang Philippine National Railways (PNR) na may P296 million; Philippine Medical Children’s Center (PCMC),  P277 million; National Power Corporation (NPC), P273 million; Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), P262 million; Small Business Corp. (SBC), P250 million; Philippine Heart Center (PHC), P242 million; Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), P207 million, National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI), P150 million, at Philippine Rice Research Institute (Philrice) na may P147 million.

Kabilang din sa mga tumanggap ng subsidiya ang Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), P72 million; Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP), P71 million;  Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), P42 million;  Philippine Insti-tute for Development Studies (PIDS), P33 million, at Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) na may P19 million.

Gayundin, ang Philippine Institute of Traditional and Alternative Health Care (PITAHC) at People’s Television Network, Inc. (PTNI) ay tumanggap ng tig- P18 million; ight Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), P15 million; Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) at Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), tig-P14 million; Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO), Southern Philippines Development Authority (SPDA), at Zamboanga City Special Eco-nomic Zone Authority (ZCSEZA), tig- P12 million;  National Dairy Authority (NDA), P9 million; at Credit Information Corp. (CIC) na may P5 million.

Para sa buwan lamang ng Marso, ang government subsidies ay nasa P5.740 billion, bumaba ng 83.71 percent kumpara sa P35.240 billion na isinagawa noong March 2018. REA CU
