IPINAHAYAG ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) na unti-unti nang dumarami ang bilang ng mga taong nais at handa nang magpaturok ng bakuna laban sa COVID-19.
Ayon kay DILG Spokesperson at Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya, ito ay base sa resulta ng entry at exit polls ng mga serye ng webinars na isinagawa ng kanilang ahensiya, katuwang ang Department of Health (DOH).
Aniya, sa lahat ng limang town hall sessions na isinagawa ng DILG at DOH, mayroong dumaraming trend ng mga kalahok na pumapayag nang magpabakuna matapos na dumalo sa COVID-19 vaccine.
“Nakakatuwa na sa gitna ng mga agam-agam sa bakuna, mas dumarami ang nakahanda nang magpabakuna. Nawa’y mas marami pa ang makumbinsi dahil ito ang pinakamabisang paraan para maabot natin ang herd immunity laban sa COVID-19,” ayon kay Malaya.
Tinukoy pa ni Malaya ang pagiging epektibo ng town hall sessions kung saan ang comparative data ng entry at exit polls ay nakalap.
Sa isinagawa umanong unang DILG webinar sa Luzon Cluster ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) at Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), natuklasan ng pollsters na ang bilang ng mga nais na magpabakuna ay lumaki ng mula 67 porsiyento hanggang 83 porsiyento matapos ang webinar.
Hinimok din ni Malaya ang lahat ng LGUs na magsagawa ng sariling town hall sessions at community engagement activities sa kani-kanilang LGUs upang makahikayat ng mga mamamayan na magpabakuna.
Sinabi pa nito, batay sa datos ng DOH, maging ang town hall sa mga pharmacists ay maganda rin ang resulta dahil ang mga nagsabing nais na nilang magpabakuna ay tumaas ng mula 58 porsiyento ay naging 88 porsiyento, habang ang mga ayaw magpabakuna ay nabawasan o mula sa dating 10 porsiyento ay naging 3 porsiyento na lamang, at ang mga hindi sigurado na magpapabakuna ay naging 9 porsiyento na lamang, mula sa dating 33 porsiyento.
