SAPAT sa pangangailangan ng publiko ang suplay ng koryente hanggang sa mga susunod na linggo.

Ito’y ayon kay Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, batay sa kanilang  pagtaya sa demand sa koryente kung saan hindi inaasahan ang mga alert notice tulad ng yellow at red alert.

Sa pagdinig ng Senate Committee on Energy, binigyang-diin ni Cusi na upang magarantiyahan pa ring hindi kukulangin ang suplay ng koryente, kailangang tuparin ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) ang pangako nito na gagawin nang firm  contract o naka-kontrata ang reserba nitong koryente.

Aniya, hindi maaaring bahala na lang ang availability ng reserba kapag kinulang ang suplay ng koryente.

Iniulat naman ni Energy Regulatory Commission Chairperson Agnes Devanadera na noong Hunyo 18 ay nagpulong sila ng Department of Energy (DOE) at NGCP.

Sinabi niya na napag-usapan doon na iko-convert sa firm contract ang mga non-firm na reserbang ­koryente ng NGCP. DWIZ 882
