SIMULA ngayong Lunes, Mayo 15, matatanggap na ng lahat ng qualified government employees ang kanilang midyear bonus, ayon sa Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

Sa isang statement, sinabi ng DBM na ang midyear bonus ay katumbas ng one-month basic pay hanggang Mayo 15, at ipagkakaloob sa entitled civil servants na nakapagtrabaho sa gobyerno ng hindi bababa sa kabuuang 4 na buwan mula Hulyo 1, 2022 hanggang Mayo 15, 2023.

“The personnel shall also remain to be in the government service as of May 15 of the current year and has obtained at least a satisfactory performance rating in the immediately preceding rating period or the applicable performance appraisal period,” ayon pa sa DBM.

Ang lahat ng eligible government employees—regular, casual, o contractual, appointive o elective, full-time or part-time— ay tatanggap ng midyear bonus.

Sakop nito ang mga empleyado sa executive, legislative, at judicial branches, Constitutional Commissions at iba pang Constitutional Offices, State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), at Government-Owned or -Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) na saklaw ng Compensation and Position Classification System (CPCS), at local government units (LGUs
Tatanggap din ng midyear bonus ang mga empleyado ng Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Philippine Public Safety College, Bureau of Fire Protection, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Bureau of Corrections, Philippine Coast Guard, at National Mapping and Resource Information Authority.

Ayon kay DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, ang midyear bonus ay kasama sa agency-specific allocation sa ilalim ng 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA).

“Alam naman po natin na isa ito sa mga inaabangan ng ating mga kapwa kawani ng gobyerno na talagang makatutulong sa kanilang araw-araw na pangangailangan,” ani Pangandaman.

“So, we are reminding all government agencies and offices to ensure the timely release of bonuses to their employees or as stipulated in our existing rules and regulations, simula May 15 po ‘yan [starting May 15],” dagdag pa niya.
