KASUNOD ng direktiba ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Gen. Guillermo Eleazar ng pagtatayo ng mga police assistance desk sa ilalim ng JTF COVID Shield sa paligid ng evacuation center sa Batangas, agad ding nagbilin ang commander ng Administrative Support to COVID-19 Operations Task Force (ASCOTF) na si Lt. Gen. Joselito Vera Cruz, PNP Deputy for Administration sa mga pulis na idedeploy ng ibayong pag-iingat.
Sa panayam ng PILIPINO Mirror kay Vera Cruz, sinabi nitong kasabay ng bawat pagtugon ng pulisya sa serbisyo sa publiko, ang pag-iingat lalo na’t pandemya pa rin at ang kalaban ay hindi nakikita,ang COVID-19.
Aniya, iba ang sitwasyon ngayon na kasabay ng pagliligtas ng pulisya sa publiko laban sa kalamidad na pag-aalburuto ng Taal Volcano, mayroon pa silang “invisible and silent enemy” na coronavirus.
“On the part of ASCOTF, ipinapaalala ng PNP, sa direktiba ng ating PNP chief Gen. Eleazar sa mga pulis to observe ‘yung MPHS (minimum public health standards) not only in their work places but also in their homes. Sa ating mga kasama na made-deploy sa Batangas ibayong pag-iingat upang mapanatili ang kanilang kalusugan sapagkat napakalaki ang papel na ginagampanan ng ating kapulisan lalo na ngayong pandemya,” ani Vera Cruz.
Una nang iniutos ni Eleazar ang paglalagay ng PAD sa paligid ng evacuation centers sa mga bayan ng Agoncillo at Laurel na pinakaapektado ng volcanic quakes at pagbuga ng asupre ng Taal Volcano.
Nagtalaga rin si Eleazar ng Health Officer protocol para matiyak na hindi malalabag ang social distancing sa mga lumikas na residente sa lugar. EUNICE CELARIO
