(Iginawad ng PUP) HONORARY DOCTORATE KAY PANGANDAMAN

TUMANGGAP si Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah “Mina” F. Pangandaman ng honorary Doctor in Public Administration degree mula sa Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) bilang pagkilala sa kanyang hindi matatawarang serbisyo-publiko.

Iprinisinta ng PUP ang honorary doctoral degree kay Secretary Mina bilang pagkilala sa kanyang kontribusyon sa ekonomiya maging ang kanyang dedikasyon sa pagsusulong sa tapat na paglilingkod, kapayapaan at inisyatiba sa healthcare program.

Kilala ang kalihim sa pagsusulong ng mga reporma sa budget tampok ang digitalization at mo­dernization ng public financial management system, climate change and green public procurement, Open Government Partnership at iba pang adbokasiya sa transparency, good governance at accountability.

“She has consistently worked to ensure that go­vernment resources reach the most vulnerable sectors of society, embodying the principles of equity and justice in governance. The Polytechnic University of the Philippines conferring this honorary doctorate on Secretary Pangandaman is a celebration of shared va­lues,” saad ni PUP President Dr. Manuel Muhi sa isinagawang conferment ceremony.

“Her commitment to education, equality, and inclusive development mirrors PUP’s mission to provide accessible and quality education to Filipinos from all walks of life,” dagdag ng PUP President.

Nagsilbing panauhing-pandangal si Secretary Mina sa commencement exercises ng unibersidad na ginanap sa Philippine International Convention Center sa Pasay City nitong Oktubre 2, 2024.

“Whether you join the private or public sector, you have the knowledge, skills, and ability to shape the business landscape of our nation. And it’s an incredible opportunity for you – the next generation of business leaders – to be the catalysts for progress that our society so despe­rately needs,” mensahe nito sa  gradu­ating class mula sa College of Business Administration.

“Use your gifts to uplift those who are margina­lized, to advocate for those who are voiceless, and to create a more just, equitable, and compassionate society for all,” patuloy ni Secretary Pangandaman.

May degree rin ang Budget Secretary sa Economics mula sa Far Eastern University at may diploma at master’s degree sa Development Economics sa University of the Philippines.

Kasalukuyan itong on leave sa kanyang Executive Master degree sa Public Administration Program ng London School of Economics para magsilbing Budget Secretary.
