IMINUMUNGKAHI ng isang obispo ang pangungumpisal gamit ang cellphone, kasunod na rin ng nananatili pa ring banta ng COVID-19.

Paglilinaw naman ni Caloocan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David, maaaring mangumpisal ang isang tao gamit ang kanyang cellphone, ngunit kailangang natatanaw pa rin siya ng pari mula sa malayo.

Ayon kay David, maituturing pa rin itong balidong sakramento ng rekonsiliyasyon.

“As long as the penitent is physically present, even from a safe distance (without a divider), you can hear his /her confession through your phone. This way you are only using your phones as speakers. This is a valid sacrament of reconciliation,” pahayag pa ni David, sa isang Facebook post, hinggil sa kanyang rekomendasyon sa mga pari para sa individual confession ngayong panahon ng pandemya.

Sinabi pa ng obispo na maaari ring magpagawa ang mga pari ng clear glass divider kung saan nakaupo sa kabilang side ang penitent, ngunit sa cellphone pa rin ito mangungumpisal.

Maaari aniyang ibigay ng pari ang cellphone na may sim card ng Parokya sa penitent upang makapagsimula itong makapangumpisal.

“Allow the penitent to call you from the other side of the glass divider and start making a confession,” dagdag pa ni David.

Pinaalalahanan naman ni David ang mga pari na huwag ilagay ang cellphone sa loud speaker para hindi makompromiso ang pangungumpisal.

“Don’t put cell phone on loudspeaker.  Make sure the seal of confession is not compromised,” aniya pa.

Ang kumpisal ay isang sakramento kung saan inihahayag ng isang mananampalataya ang kanyang mga pagkakasala sa pari, upang humingi ng kapatawaran. ANA ROSARIO HERNANDEZ
