Sa House Resolution 2310, sinabi ng Makabayan na nitong September 10 ay pinalawig pa ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang pagsasailalim sa bansa sa state of calamity dulot ng COVID-19 pandemic.
Ibig lamang sabihin, dahil nasa ilalim pa rin ng state of calamity ang bansa ay dapat itigil ang taas-presyo sa lahat ng batayang bilihin sa loob ng 60 araw o hanggang November 9 salig na rin sa probisyong nakapaloob sa Price Act.
Pero sa halip na ginhawa sa publiko ay sinamantala naman umano ng mga oil company ang walang habas na pagtaas sa presyo ng langis na naging dahilan sa hindi pagbaba ng presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin at serbisyo.
