MAAARING mag-avail ng one-time free COVID-19 testing ang newly-hired workers na kailangang kumu- ha ng negative RT-PCR test result bilang pre-employ- ment requirement, ayon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
“The Department has allocated P100 million for this program. Through this, we intend to ease the burden of additional COVID-19 cost among newly-hired jobseekers in the private sector, agency-hired overseas workers set for deployment, and even newly-appointed employees in any branch or instrumentality of the government,” sabi ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III.
Ang naturang programa ay saklaw ng DOLE Department Order 232, series of 2022 na nilagdaan ni Bello.
“The program covers jobseekers hired after the effectivity of the Department order and jobseekers employed beginning February 1, 2022 who are yet to assume position due to lack of negative RT-PCR test result, “ ayon sa DOLE.
Para maka-avail ng COVID-19 test subsidy, sinabi ng DOLE na ang mga bagong hire ay kailangang magsumite ng photocopy ng valid government-issued ID at duly accomplished subsidy application form sa pinakamalapit na DOLE field office.
Ang newly-hired jobseekers ay kailangan ding magsumite ng certificate of engagement, acceptance, o appointment na pirmado ng establishment owner, general manager, o human resource manager para sa mga hired sa private domestic establishments at ng recruitment agencies na magde-deploy ng workers overseas; o head ng agency o head ng human resource office para sa those hired sa anumang government branch o instrumentality.
Ayon sa DOLE, susuriin ng kinauukulang DOLE field office ang aplikasyon sa loob ng tatlong araw mula sa pagkakatanggap at ieendorso ang pre-evaluated applications sa kinauukulang regional office.
“The DOLE regional office shall then notify the applicant within five working days whether the application is approved or denied through electronic mail/SMS,” dagdag pa ng ahensiya.
