Ime-maintain pa rin ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang ISO Certification for Quality Management Systems (QMS) sa Second Surveillance Audit sa National QMS Pilot Offices, ito ang deklarasyon ng pamumuan ni Vice President of the Philippines and Education Secretary Sara Z. Duterte.
Ang Second Surveillance Audit ay isinagawa noong June 25–26 upang malaman kung ang mga established QMS ng DepEd pilot offices ay patuloy na namimintine, naiatutupad at mas naapaganda, upang matugunan ang mga angangailangan at inaasahan ng mga stakeholders.
Nagsagawa ng second surveillance audit ang TÜV NORD, isa sa pinakamalaking Inspection, Certification & Testing organizations sa mundo, at iprinisinta nila ang findings sa closing meeting na ‘no nonconformities” (NC) sa DepEd NQMS Pilot Offices tulad ng Central Office (CO), Regional Office (RO) IV-A CALABARZON, Schools Division Office (SDO) of Biñan City, Biñan Elementary School (BES), at Biñan Integrated National High School (BINHS).
Ngayong taon, inangunahan nina Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Michael Wesley T. Poa at Quality Management Representative Undersecretary Wilfredo E. Cabral ang Executive Committee sa audit sa Top Management.
Kasamang ang mga DepEd representatives for Top Management na sina Undersecretaries Revsee Escobedo, Omar Romero, Gerard Chan and Assistant Secretaries Alma Torio, Janir Datukan and Dexter Galban.
Sa mga pilot offices, pinangunahan ito ni Regional Director Atty. Alberto Escobarte sa RO IV-A (CALABARZON),
