Jonaxx: Miss Masterminding Worlds

Hannah Joice Nicole S. Malacad

As a book lover and a then-aspiring writer, I have always been meticulous about the books I read. My experience as a campus journalist in elementary honed my ability to be selective and responsible in choosing the content I consume online. I sought stories that were not just entertaining but also rich in substance – narratives that would truly resonate and be worth the time and effort I invested in reading them.

In junior high school, I stumbled upon Jonaxx, a prolific fiction writer on the famous online reading platform, Wattpad. As I delved into her works, starting with “Invisible Man,” I was outright captivated. The pages came alive, and I found myself immersed in the Jimenez Cousin Series and eagerly leaping into the next available series. Each chapter held a promise of excitement, igniting my teenage heart with anticipation. It was when I began to fully understand the magic of storytelling and the prowess that Jonaxx – in real life.

Throughout this journey, Jonaxx maintained a humble profile across various social media channels. Yet, her writing adeptness worked like magic, capturing the attention of notable personalities and earning her multiple recognitions.

Her achievements even found their way into educational modules, where she was recognized as one of the Philippines’ “Tanyag na Manunulat” (renowned writers) and “Most Influential Writer”.

Her milestones did not stop there. She ventured beyond the literary realm, creating her own app called “Jonaxx Stories”, which allows her readers to access her captivating tales for free. Currently, Jonaxx has more than 50 novels published on her app, each resonating loudly as they reflect reality – the tapestry of human existence with all its frayed edges.

Innocent love blooming alongside flaming vengeance, time-tested promises binding fates, tragedies cutting to the core, and life-changing mistakes are just some of the themes of her narratives. What makes Jonaxx more amazing is her fearlessness in introducing characters who bear scars, imperfections, and raw wounds. They are not cookie-cutter protagonists; they defy convention. They mirror broken souls we encounter in our own lives – the misfits, bruised, victims, tormentors, tricksters, et cetera. Jonaxx is also known and well-respected for her signature writing style – multiple stories spun together with aligned timelines, each thread vital, each detail meticulously placed. Yet, everything is beautifully and neatly written. She is also famous for her backward storytelling. One of her series, Costa Leona, began with the third generation, unraveling her saga in reverse. It’s like painting a masterpiece in reverse strokes, revealing hidden layers and surprising even herself.

Initially, I believed her stories were my escape from reality – a breath of fresh air when the world felt suffocating. But I have realized that they are more than escapism; they have become my guide, which actually helps me understand and live life better. For seasoned readers, Jonaxx hardly needs an introduction. She has reigned over the industry for more than a decade already. Yet, beyond the confines of fandom, the world deserves to know her – a woman of excellence, talent, and elegance.

Despite her long list of milestones, what remained steady is the passion she has for writing reflected in each of her quality stories. And for this, the number of her fans just multiplies.
