HINDI lamang sa mga kalsada, tulay, at paliparan nag-iinvest ang gobyerno kundi maging sa iba pang mga pasilidad na makatutulong sa pang-araw-araw na buhay ng mga Filipino sa gitna ng pandemya.
Sa isang press conference sa ‘Build Build Build’ program kahapon, sinabi ni Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Karl Kendrick Chua na gumasta ang pamahalaan sa health facilities, water, sanitation, flood control, at digital infrastructure tulad ng national ID system.
“We are investing in a wide range of infrastructure projects,” ani Chua. “All of these are needed during this pandemic and our move to the new normal.”
Bukod sa kinakailangang imprastruktura para sa mga Filipino, sinabi ni Chua na ang investment ng gobyerno sa ‘Build Build Build‘ program ay lilikha rin ng maraming trabaho.
“(T)his has the biggest multiplier in terms of job. One job that you create in the infrastructure sector creates another 0.5 jobs. Every peso you spend in construction, creates another peso because of the services around the construction. That’s why we are pursuing this,” aniya.
Hanggang noong Mayo 12, 2021, ang pamahalaan ay may 119 infrastructure flagship projects na may kabuuang halagang PHP4.7 trillion.
Labing-isang proyekto na ang natapos at 29 iba pa ang inaasahang makukumpleto sa katapusan ng 2022.
Ang pamahalaan ay mayroon ding 51 ongoing projects na makukumpleto sa 2023 at lagpas pa, at mag-iiwan ng 28 pipeline projects para sa susunod na administrasyon.
“We have a strong pipeline to ensure that the next administration will have a very good starting point to build on the progress we build so far,” sabi pa ni Chua. PNA
