Bunsod nito, maging ang nakatakdang plenary sessions ng Kamara sa darating na Lunes, Agosto 9 hanggang Agosto 19 ay suspendido rin, kasabay ng pagsasailalim sa Metro Manila sa enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Base sa naturang direktiba, ang office hours sa Lower House simula kahapon at sa araw na ito ay ginawang alas-otso ng umaga hanggang alas-singko ng hapon kung saan ang kanilang sesyon ay itinakda mula alas-2:00 ng hapon hanggang alas-5:00 lamang ng hapon.

“All congressional offices shall be closed; Antigen testing shall be made available for those reporting physically for work; Should there be available vaccines, vaccination shall proceed and concerned individuals shall be notified accordingly; Offices of attached agencies are requested to adopt a lean workforce. The House Legislative Security Bureau has been tasked to strictly implement the provisions contained in the memo.”
Pagbibigay-diin ni Speaker Velasco, ang hakbang na ito ay kinakailangan bilang tugon sa pagsusumikap ng pamahalaan na mapigilan ang mabilis na pagkalat ng highly infectious Delta coronavirus variant sa Metro Manila at mga karatig na lugar.
