MAS pinaigting ng PNP- Police Regional Office 5 ang kampanya kontra kriminalidad bunsod ng matinding pagnanais na isulong ang mas ligtas at progresibong komunidad sa iba’t ibang lugar sa rehiyon ng Bicol.
Ayon kay Bicol PNP Regional Director Police Brig. General Jonnel C. Estomo mas bibigyan ng tuon ang paglulunsad ng iba’t ibang inisyatibo upang supilin ang kasamaan at karahasan sa buong rehiyon.
Patunay dito ang mga natatanging tagumpay na nakamit ng PNP Bicol noong nakaraang linglo, simula Agosto 15 at 21, 2021 sa kampanya kontra kriminalidad.
Kabilang dito ang kampanya kontra iligal na droga, kung saan 13 ang nailunsad na drug buy-bust operation na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto sa 18 personalidad na nahuli sa akto nang paggamit at pagtutulak ng ipinagbabawal na droga at ang pakakakumpiska ng 78.572 gramo ng shabu na may kabuuang halaga na P534, 269.60.
Sa pinaigting na kampanya kontra iligal na sugal, ang PNP Bicol ay nakasakote ng 73 katao mula sa 24 na operasyon at may kabuuang P30, 241 halaga ng “bet money” ang nakumpiska dito, at 14 na kaso ang naihain sa korte laban sa mga akusado.
Bilang pagtalima sa PNP Core Value na “Makakalikasan” binigyan rin ng pansin ng PNP Bicol ang pagbibigay proteksyon sa natural na yaman ng rehiyon.
Sa pinalawig na operasyon kontra iligal na pangingisda, 31 ang nahuli sa 10 operasyon naikasa at umabot rin sa P69, 500 halaga ng isda at P293,300 halaga naman ng kagamitan ang nasamsam mula rito ng mga otoridad, at apat dito na kaso ang naihabla sa mga lumabag sa RA 10654.
Samantala, dalawang katao naman ang nadakip sa iligal na pagpuputol ng kahoy sa 3 operasyong inilunsad. Mula dito, P11, 500.00 halaga ng iba’t ibang uri ng kahoy ang nakumpiska.
Sa kampanya kontra wanted persons, 11 na most wanted person at 92 na other wanted persons ang nahulog sa kamay ng batas na akusado sa iba’t ibang krimen.
Puspusan rin ang pagsasagawa ng “Oplan Kontra Boga” ng kapulisan upang supilin ang mga naglipanang hindi rehistradong armas nang maiwasan ang mga krimeng maaring paggamitan nito.
Ito ay nagbunga sa pagkakakumpiska ng 3 “loose firearms” habang 15 na baril na nasa pangangalaga ng pulisya mula sa mga pagsuko ng mga may-ari nito.
Sa patuloy na paglaban sa insurhensya, 10 combat operations ang naisagawa ng kapulisan sa iba’t ibang probinsya ng rehiyon para tutukan ang pagkilos ng makakabilang grupo at pigilan ang mga opensibang operasyon na kanilang maaaring gawin sa gobyerno at maging sa sibilyan.
