“Therefore, may we request to be the next challenger on the winner of WBA Superchampion Thammanoon Niyomtrong of Thailand versus WBA World Champion Erick Rosa of Dominican Republic. We are currently WBA rated no. 1. We will actively participate in another competitive bout early this year for us to be highly credible to challenge the winner of Mr. Niyomtrong and Mr. Rosa bout.

“WBA is long and still highly recognized by our Games and Amusement Board with integrity and fair. We are hoping for your immediate and positive approval on this matter very soon,” pahayag ni Rontal sa kanyang liham.

“Anyway, our most concern of all is the result of the said highly controversial split decision lost against Vic Saludar.  First, all judges either from Dominican Republic or nearby and non from Asia or even North America. In other words, no neutral judges. Because of this, Judge Oscar Valdez falsely and  unfairly favor their hometown favorite Erick Rosa on the score cards. 116 on Rosa and 109 on Saludar. His judging is highly questionable compared to Judge Luis Pabon (112 Saludar vs 113 Rosa) and Reima Unbdiq (113 Saludar vs 112 Rosa) which is more close and factual.

“Secondly and most controversial of all is Referee Guillermo Perez Pineda who obviously and mistakenly called Round 9 a knockdown in favor of Erick Rosa. Mr. Pineda clearly saw Mr. Rosa did not hit Mr. Saludar but instead grabbed and pulled down Mr. Saludar with his forearm to the canvas. It is impossible that Mr. Pineda would not see the pull down by Mr. Rosa since he is only less than arms-length away. Mr. Pineda even back step both his feet when Mr. Saludar was falling down which clearly shows that he saw the action right in front. Mr. Pineda even has a higher possibility to see the action since both boxers are only below his shoulder height.

“Moreover, the replay of Round 9 incident in the video was not even replayed as the obvious miscalled would have been found out. Meanwhile, all other rounds were replayed.  You may refer to the YouTube video:  Vic Saludar vs Erick Rosa Full Fight HD.   If round 9 was not mistakenly called for knockdown, the result would totally be different, or at least draw and Saludar would at least retain his WBA title.

EDWIN ROLLON
