KRIS AQUINO-CRISTY FERMIN CURRENT WORD WAR

DIREK LINE

THERE are plans of a showbiz talk show on TV5 which will be hosted by the reliables in terms of showbiz chismis: Kris Aquino, Cristy Fermin and Lolit Solis. It KRIS AQUINO and CRISTY FERMINshould be a welcome treat to the gossip-hungry Filipinos with the big names feeding us intrigues on television. The last time there was a show of such kind was perhaps more than five years ago.

Popular showbiz intrigue shows in the past include Inday Badiday’s  See True, Startalk with Lolit Solis and Joey de Leon, The Buzz with Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino and Cristy Fermin. This type of shows are sure blockbusters.

TV 5 is supposed to come up with a Kris-Cristy-Lolit show. I heard from the grapevine that Kris is producing the show. Also from the grapevine, Nanay Cristy wants to include Mr. Fu in the show. But according to her, Kris vehemently rejected the latter as “He is not sikat. Hindi natin ka level” or words to that effect. With this, Nanay Cristy got so mad at Kris because of rejecting Mr. Fu. She openly said that she will never accept any offer with Kris in it as she was hurt with what happened. Nanay Cristy then brought back to mind the incident involving another friend and co-host of hers, Wendell Alvarez. In the past during Kris guesting at Cristy Fer Minute, the former according to the latter doesn’t want to have Wendell interviewing her as the latter said, “hindi rin ka level ni Kris”. Nanay Cristy is so mad at Kris for these two incidents. Kris Aquino, on the other hand, answered her without losing her composure. She just said, she’s used of Nanay’s below-the-belt comments about her since time immemorial. She doesn’t want to defend herself anymore.

I actually haven’t talked to any of them however this is my two cents on the incident. If in the original plan, Mr. Fu was included as host for the talk show then Kris changed her mind not to include him then Nanay Cristy has the right to air her sentiments but not up to the extent of getting too personal and unearthing the past about Kris. Nevertheless, if Mr. Fu was not in the original plan then Kris being one of the producers (correct me if I’m wrong), she has all the right to decide. She is only thinking of the public acceptance of their show with Mr. Fu in it. On the other hand, Mr. Fu already has some following in his You Tube channel. But again, if a producer decides then we can not do anything about it. About Tetay’s “hindi natin ka-level” comment, every Filipino knows how taklesa Kris is and we all have learned to accept her.

Manay Lolit Solis is still optimistic that their show will materialize but at the rate things are going, there’s a slim chance that it will happen.

In showbiz, there are no permanent friends, only permanent interests. With how small the showbiz world is, these personalities will still meet somewhere somehow someday. I am just crossing my fingers that even if the show will no longer have a chance of airing on television, both Cristy Fermin and Kris Aquino will find time to reconcile. The world is already clothed with negativity due to the Covid-19 crisis plus the series of typhoons that wreaked havoc a lot of areas in the country. It is about time to mend our ways, forgive everyone and help each other to make this country in particular and the world in general, a better place to live in again.
