TINIYAK ni Philippine National Police -Administrative Support to COVID-19 Operations Task Force (PNP-ASCOTF) Commander, Lt. Gen. Joselito Vera Cruz, ang PNP Deputy Chief for Administration (TDCA) na protektado kontra COVID-19 ang mga idineploy na pulis sa mga itinayong quarantine control points (QCP) o checkpoints sa boundary ng NCR plus o Metro Manila at karatig-lalawigan na Rizal, Laguna, Cavite at Bulacan.
Kasunod ito ng pag-activate ng Department of Interior and Local Government ng QCPs sa mga hangganan ng NCR Plus na nagsimula ng alas-12 ng hatinggabi ng Agosto 1.
Sinabi ni Vera Cruz na ito ay sa pamamagitan na bukod sa pagsasailalim ng RT-PCR test sa bawat miyembro ng PNP, mahigit sa 50 percent na naka-assign sa Metro Manila ay fully vaccinated na kontra COVID-19 at marami na rin ang naturukan ng unang dose ng bakuna.
“The regular RT-PCR testing ng PNP personnel natin dito sa NCR, more that 50% na rin sa kanila ang fully vaccinated at marami na rin ang naka-1st dose,” ayon kay Vera Cruz.
Bukod sa tiyak na malusog at malakas ang mga idineploy na pulis, palagian din ang paalala ng ASCOTF, alinsunod sa direktiba ni PNP Chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar sa mga frontliner cop na dobleng pag-iingat habang nagpapasunod ng minimum public health protocols sa publiko.
At upang makatiyak na ligtas ang frontliner cop sa sakit, nakahanda rin ang logistical requirements gaya ng personnel protective equipment.
“May mga constant reminders naman tayo sa ating mga personnel sa observance of MPHS at nakahanda naman tayo sa mga logistical requirments such as personnel protective equipment ng mga deployed at for deployment na pnp personnel,” dagdag pa ng PNP Deputy Chief for Administration.
Samantala, inihayag din ni Vera Cruz na mahigpit ang bilin ni Eleazar sa mga frontliner cop na sundin ang karapatang pantao ng mamamayang Pilipino upang maiwasan ang bangayan sa checkpoints at hingin ang kooperasyon ng publiko upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 Delta variant. EUNICE CELARIO
