NAKATAKDANG lumagda ang Philippine at Japanese firms sa business agreements na nagkakahalaga ng P300 billion ngayong linggo, ayon sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
Sinabi ng DTI na mahigit sa 20 business deals ang pipirmahan sa sidelines ng biyahe ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Japan para sa Nikkei’s 24th International Conference on the Future of Asia sa Mayo 30 at 31.
“The Department of Trade and Industry is consistently pursuing investments from all countries to provide decent employment opportunities to Filipinos. This is part of President Duterte’s Tapang at Malasakit approach to nation-building and DTI’s priorities, summed up as Trabaho, Negosyo, Konsyumer,” wika ni Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, na sasaksihan ang signing ng business agreements.
Karamihan sa investment pledges ay sa infrastructure, manufacturing, electronics, medical devices, at business process outsourcing (BPO), power, electricity, transport, automotive, food manufacturing, at marine manpower industries.
“Japanese investors remain bullish on the sustained growth momentum under the administration of President Duterte, given its aggressive infrastructure build-up, meaningful investment and financial reforms and demographic advantages,” sabi pa ni Lopez.
