KASALUKUYANG sumasailalim sa rehabilitasyon ang Luisita Golf Course para maging kaaya-aya sa mga golfer mula sa 11 bansa na sasabak sa 30th Southeast Asian Games sa Nobyembre 30 hanggang Disyembre 11.
“The course is undergoing major improvement and refurbishing to suite the demand of the golfers from 11 countries. As much as possible, we will make the course in excellent physical condition to satisfy the participants,” sabi ni Luisita Golf Club general manager Jeric Hechanova.
Ngayon lang gagawin ang golf sa SEA Games sa Luisita na matatagpuan sa Tarlac.
“Luisita is hosting golf in the SEA Games for the first time. It is logical and proper to put the course in excellent condition to suite their liking,” wika ni Hechanova na isa rin golfer.
Dinomina ng mga Pinoy ang golf noong 2005 edition ng biennial meet kung saan nanalo si Juivic Pagunsan ng dalawang ginto sa individual at team, kasama sina Marvin Dumandan, Michael Bibat at Jay Bayron.
Mag-eensayo ang men’s team sa Luisita, habang ang women’s squad ay sa United States.
