Eddie Villanueva sa House Resolution 1913, na nananawagan para masiyasat ang pagkakaroon ng ‘unutilized funds’ sa Bayanihan 2 makaraang mapaso o mawalan ng bisa nitong katapusan ng Hunyo.
“The expiration of unspent Bayanihan 2 funds simply means one thing: we deny our people of their much-needed help and assistance amidst this COVID-19 pandemic when they are already grappling to survive,” ayon sa respetadong religious leader at ranking official ng Lower House.
Bukod dito, iginiit ni Villanueva na makatutulong ang House probe sa Bayanihan 2 para mabigyan ng gabay ang mga mambabatas sa gagawing paghimay at pagpapasiya na aprubahan ang proposed 2022 national budget, na umaabot sa P5.024 trilyon.
Ganito rin ang pananaw ni dating Speaker at Taguig City 1st Dist.-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano na binigyang-diin na hindi na dapat maulit ang pangyayaring may kaukulang badget na ipinasa ang Kongreso subalit hindi naman nagamit dahil lamang sa mabagal na proseso sa pag-obligate ng pondo ng ilang ahensiya ng gobyerno.
