THE MANILA Grand Opera Hotel marked a milestone on August 30, 2023, as it celebrated its 15th anniversary that captured the spirit of dedication, commitment, and outstanding service that have defined the hotel’s legacy.
The event commenced with a thanksgiving mass officiated by Fr. Hans Magdurulang. Employees, joined by executive officers led by ALC Group Chairman D. Edgard A. Cabangon and Manila Grand Opera Hotel President D. Edward A. Cabangon, gathered in a spirit of gratitude, reflecting on the journey that had brought them to this significant milestone and seeking blessings for the path ahead.
Following the mass, the celebration unfolded into a vibrant program with a special message by D. Edgard A. Cabangon. In his message, Cabangon expressed heartfelt appreciation for the remarkable men and women who tirelessly work behind the success of the hotel. He commended their unwavering dedication and commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality service, thereby enhancing the hotel experience for their guests. “Rest assured that the Cabangon family will support you, in ways we can,” he added.
The celebration continued with the spotlight turning toward the hotel’s outstanding employees. The Perfect Attendance Awardees were recognized for their remarkable commitment to punctuality and consistency. In recognition of loyalty and long-standing dedication, 97 Service Awardees were honored. These employees have been integral to the hotel’s journey, having served for more than 5 years.
Adding an extra layer of prestige to the occasion were the recipients of the special awards: individuals and departments that had gone above and beyond the call of duty. HR Associate Ella Chingky B. Grivialde was presented with the “Above and Beyond Award” for her exceptional contributions, setting a shining example for her peers. The Human Resources Department was lauded with the “Excellence in Teamwork” award, recognizing their exemplary collaboration and achievements in 2023. Excellence in leadership was acknowledged with the “Captain Catalyst Crown,” bestowed upon Rodney C. Robosa, an embodiment of inspirational leadership and commitment to fostering growth.
Hotel’s General Manager Rodney Robosa took the stage to express his gratitude. His speech resonated deeply, encapsulating the essence of the hotel’s journey and its aspirations for the future. As the evening progressed, attendees were treated to a sumptuous dinner.
