NASA 40 percent na ang completion ng rehabilitasyon sa mga imprastraktura na isinasagawa ng pamahalaan sa Marawi City.

Ang rehab effort ng pamahalaan sa Marawi City na nawasak sa bakbakan ng ekstremistang Moro at ng tropa ng pamahalaan ay pinangangasiwaan ni Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) Chairman Secretary Eduardo D. Del Rosario na pinuno rin ng Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD).

Sa kanyang ikalawang pagbisita sa Marawi ngayong taon ay siniyasat ni Del Rosario ang nagpapatuloy na rehabilitasyon.

Nanindigan din ang kalihim na nanatiling on track ang TFBM at ang 56 implementing agencies para matiyak na kanilang makamit ang completion sa December.

“Based on my recent visit in the last two days, we are now 40% (complete) in the vertical and horizontal infrastructure. That’s why I told them that if we will be completing 10% per month, we are within our timeline of completing the rehabilitation by December 2021,” ayon kay TFBM chief Del Rosario.

“So we are now 40% in terms of accomplishment. Based on our Master Development Plan, we are on track with the target that we have set,” dagdag pa ng DHSUD chief.

Paglilinaw pa ni Del Rosario na puspusan ang TBM para sa mabilis na rebuilding ng Marawi at ang kanilang mga hakbangin ay alinsunod sa methodology na inilatag noon pa man simulant ang task force.

Kabilang naman sa rehabilitation efforts ang magtaguyod ng emergency assistance gaya ng financial, livelihood, food, medicine at shelter.

“In any calamity-stricken area, the first phase of rehabilitation is to provide immediate emergency assistance – early intervention activities, which takes about six months to one year,” ayon pa kay Del Rosario. EUNICE CELARIO
