Sa maikling pagpupulong ay tinalakay ng dalawang opisyal ang mga paraan para sa pagbuo ng mas malakas na koordinasyon, partikular sa panahong ito ng pandemya.
Humingi rin si Marcial ng paglilinaw at patnubay mula sa MMDA chief hinggil sa umiiral na rules and regulations ng Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) sa contact sports tulad ng basketball.
“Basketball is the Filipinos’ national pastime. But there is no denying that the PBA is faced with a tough challenge now because of the pandemic,” wika ni Abalos.
Nangako si Abalos na tutulungan ang PBA at ang basketball industry sa kabuuan.
Ayon sa MMDA chief, bubuo sila ng mga hakbang na magiging katanggap-tanggap sa IATF, at tiniyak na mahigpit na susundin ang minimum health protocols na ipinatutupad ng pamahalaan.
“We have to ensure the safety of everyone, not only the players, but the general viewing public. We cannot compromise the health and well-being of all,” pagbibigay-diin ni Abalos.
