Former DPWH Secretary Mark A. Villar along with President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Senator Bong Go and Narvacan Mayor Chavit Singson attended the inauguration of the Narvacan Public Market in Ilocos Sur.
“Infrastructure like this public market are very important to the Filipino people. Not only will it provide a cleaner and better place for vendors and consumers, it also improves the quality of life for all the people here in Narvacan”, Villar said.
The LGU spearheaded the said local project through the help of various organizations.
“This public market is proof to the kind of leadership President Duterte has – focused on doing things for the Filipino people and delivering it to them with quality and world-class standards. I congratulate Mayor Chavit and President Duterte for this successful project”, Villar said.
Villar also mentioned that he will continually push for projects like this if given a spot in the senate. He is currently running for senator in the upcoming national elections under the BBM-Sara Tandem and Uniteam.
“If given a chance to be part of the senate, we will certainly push for infrastructure development that will directly benefit the people. We will build more public markets, schools, hospitals, farm to market roads and many more”, Villar added.
