NANANATILING ligtas ang Tagaytay City para sa mga turista at residente kasunod ng phreatomagmatic explosions ng Bulkang Taal noong nakaraang linggo, ayon sa Phivolcs.

Noong Huwebes ay nakapagtala ng maigsing maitim na phreatomagmatic plume na may taas na isang kilometro sa bulkan dahilan para itaas ng Phivolcs ang alert level sa 3 at ilikas ng mga awtoridad ang mga residente sa danger zone.

Sinabi ni Phivolcs officer-in-charge Renato Solidum na maaari pa ring bumisita ang mga turista sa Tagaytay City subalit kailangang magsuot ng face mask.

“Wala pang pagsabog nang malakas ang Taal, ang pagsabog hindi po papunta ang hangin sa Tagaytay, wala pong peligro doon, kailangan lang bantayan saan papunta ang direksiyon ng hangin. Kung safe pumunta? Wala naman pong problema, kailangan may dala kayong mask palagi,” ani Solidum.

“Kasi puwede namang fountaining lang ng lava, hindi po ‘yun magiging delikado, depende po saan ang pagsabog at saan direksiyon. Sa ngayon doon patungo sa Laurel at Agoncillo,” dagdag pa niya.
