MAYNILAD TAKES HOME TWO STEVIE INT’L BUSINESS AWARDS FOR NEW WATER

West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) took home a Gold and a Silver award for its NEW WATER Project at the 2023 Stevie International Business Awards (Stevie® IBA) held recently at the Rome Cavalieri Hotel in Italy.

The water company was given a Gold Stevie Award for its “NEW WATER: Maynilad’s Foray into Potable Water Reuse” Project under the competition’s “Achievement in Product Innovation” category; and a Silver Stevie Award for its “Ceremonial Launch of Maynilad’s NEW WATER” under the “Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Integration of Traditional and New Media” category.

Maynilad’s NEW WATER Project is the conversion of used water for potable application—a first in the Philippines, and also the first in Asia to apply the “direct potable reuse” scheme—in line with the company’s effort to enhance water security and reliability by maximizing the use of available water resources.

Maynilad Corporate Affairs & Communication Head Marie Antonette H. De Ocampo said this recognition inspires the company to continue pursuing innovations and enhancements in service delivery. “We aim to continuously innovate and provide sustainable water solutions to our customers that will help address our country’s water security challenges,” she said.

The Stevie® IBA is a prestigious global competition that honors accomplishments in all aspects of work life. This year’s winners—chosen from over 3,700 nominations from organizations in over 60 nations—were judged by more than 230 professionals worldwide.
