Ito ang mensahe ng Malacañang sa mga bar examinees na dumagsa sa University of Santo Tomas sa Maynila kahapon.
“Study hard, believe in yourselves, and give it your best shot,” ani Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo Jr.
Aniya, gaya ng ibang licensure examinations ay itinuturing ito ng mga aspiring lawyer bilang isa sa ‘great equalizer’ ng buhay.
“Today marks the first Sunday of the 2018 Bar Examinations. Just like all other licensure examinations (but described by most as arguably the hardest), this exam for aspiring lawyers is, as they say, one of life’s great equalizers,” ayon kay Sec. Panelo.
Ayon pa rito, kahit anuman ang background na mayroon ang mga kabilang sa 9,000 examinees ay malinaw na iisa ang layunin ng mga ito at ito ay ang matupad ang kanilang pangarap na maging abogado.
“You have survived the taxing days (and nights) of law school and reviewed for several months for the 4-day bar exams. As you take another step on the ladder of your legal career, we offer you our fervent prayers. While this is certainly a test of your academic knowledge, it is likewise a yardstick of your calmness and courage under pressure,” pahayag ni Panelo.
Ang lahat ng mga ito ay pangangailangan sa pagsasanay ng batas bilang tunay na hamon na may kaakibat na integridad at dignidad sa propesyon.
