PINANGUNAHAN ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang buong bansa sa pagselebra ng ika-123 taong Araw ng Kasarinlan na may temang “Kalayaan 2021: Diwa ng Kalayaan sa Pagkakaisa at Paghilom ng Bayan”.

Umaasa ang Pangulong Duterte na mananaig ang pagiging makabayan ng lahat habang ang kabayanihan ng nakalipas ay magsilbing inspirasyon ng kasalukuyang henerasyon ng Filipino para mapagtagumpayan ang kinakaharap na hamon dulot ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Sa kanyang mensahe, sinabi ng Punong Ehekutibo na ang mga naging hamon ng nakalipas na taon ay sumubok sa katatagan ng bansa at ng bawat isa.

Aniya, ang bawat isa ay sumagupa sa hamon at naging bayani sa bawat karapatan gaya ng paglaban para makaligtas at tumulong sa kapwa na gaya ng ginawa ng ating mga bayani mahigit 100 taon na ang nakalilipas.
