Nagdeklara ang Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Animal Industry (DA-BAI) na negatibo sa bird flu ang mga ibon at poultry products sa lalawigan ng Tarlac.
“The Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) on Wednesday said tests on poultry from Tarlac province showed samples were’nt infected by the highly pathogenic avian influenza, dispelling fears of consumers and industry players of bird flu outbreak,” ayon sa isang opisyal na pahayag ng DA-BAI.
“All samples from Tarlac tested negative for the bird flu virus,”ang pahayag ni DA Assistant Secretary for Swine and Poultry Dante Palabrica.
“Based on these results, news about the bird flu outbreak are untrue,”sabi ni Palabrica.
“So I would like to clarify that I have not received any official report of such outbreak from the local authorities. So walang official report.
“The Bureau of Animal Industry(BAI) is aware of recent reports circulating in the media regarding a supposed bird flu outbreak in Tarlac. We would like to clarify that BAI has not received any official report of such an outbreak from the local authorities in Tarlac,” ayon sa isang official press statement na inilabas ng BAI nitong Hulyo 30.
Furthermore, there are currently no confirmed laboratory results reported in the area. The last officially confirmed case in the province was recorded on December 2023.The BAI Animal Diagnosies and Reference Laboratory (ADRL) is the sole authority to official detect and confirm positive cases of bird flu through standardized testing protocols,”sabi ng BAI.
Ma. Luisa Macabuhay-Garcia
