“Base sa last SEAG, ‘yung nakalaban natin ang powerhouse na Thailand, natalo lang tayo ng 1 point sa isang set, habang sa Vietnam naman ay 2 points lang, so mako-consider na ang Vietnam ay nag-qualify sa world stage kaya tingin ko may laban tayo,” dagdag niya sa programang suportado ng PSC, Games and Amusement Board (GAB) at Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

Tanging sa men’s beach category makalalahok ang Filipinas mula sa apat na events na binubuo ng men’s at women’s indoor games at women’s beach division.

“Before ng pandemic, may indoor naman tayo, actually sumali tayo ng 2018 sa Youth at Junior team kung saan nag-silver tayo sa youth team, tapos nung 2019 may women’s indoor team tayo na nag-bronze sa international tourney sa junior team, ngayon medyo huminto  ng training para sa indoor games kaya naka-focus lang tayo sa beach category,” paliwanag ni Pacubas.

“Ang na-approve lang kasi sa atin ngayon ay ang men’s beach handball, pero may women’s team tayo kaso nag-break lang sila (pansamantala dahil sa Covid-19).”
