MORE TO BENEFIT AS SM LAUNCHES FARMERS’ TRAINING PROGRAM IN DIFFERENT AREAS

OLONGAPO City – More will bene­fit from SM ­Foundation’s Kaba­likat sa Kabuhayan Farmers’ Training Program as different batches were launched in Muntinlupa City, Antipolo City, Calamba, Laguna; Bataan, and Olongapo City.

The urban farmers training program Batch 201 orientation and launch at Barangay Tunasan in Muntinlupa was attended by 115 participants and stakeholders. SM Foundation’s partners for the training program are Macondray Urban Agri Academy, DSWD, DA, BDO Foundation and the city government of Muntinlupa. An urban farmers’ training program has been launched in Antipolo City last month.

ksk olongapo2In Olongapo City, 236 participants and guests attended the launch of the rural farmers’ training program at Escalona Farm, Jolo Tabacuhan, Brgy. Sta. Rita. The program in Olongapo is in partnership with Harbest AgriBusiness Corp., SM Supermalls – SM City Olongapo, SM Markets – SM Supermarket, BDO Foundation, LGU of Olongapo City, Dept. of Social Welfare and Development and the Dept. of Agriculture. Another batch was launched in Barangay Tuyo, Balanga, Bataan and last month, in Calamba, Laguna.

SM Foundation’s farmers’ trai­ning prog­ram seeks to help achieve food security and provide sustainable livelihood for the beneficiaries.
