MOXA: NATURAL PAIN THERAPY

What to do, what to do?

BACK PAINS

MOXA-1Marami ang dahilan ng biglang pagsakit ng likod. The human back is composed of a complex structure of muscles, ligaments, tendons, disks, and bones, which work together to support the body and enable us to move around.
• Lifting something improperly
• Lifting something that is too heavy
• Making an abrupt and awkward movement
• Poor or improper posture
• Strained muscles or ligaments
• Muscle spasm
• Damaged disks
• Injuries or fractures

SEEKING MEDICAL HELP

• Ruptured or bulging disks
• Sciatica
• Arthritis
• Scoliosis
• Osteoporosis
• Infection of the spine
• Shingles or Herpes Zoster
• Sleep disorders
Ito ay isang traditional medicine therapy which consists of burning special dried leaves (mugwort) on particular points of the body. It was used in Imperial Japan, Tibet, China and Mongolia.

ANO ANG MOXA?

MOXA-2The first Western remarks on moxibustion can be found in reports written by Portuguese missionaries in 16th-century Japan. They called it “botão de fogo” (fire button), and later, mogusa.
Japanese scholars observed the effects of moxibustion on body pains, blood pressure and analgesia.
The thermal effects of different techniques, such as, direct moxibustion, suspension moxibustion, light moxibustion, and He-Ne laser moxibustion, results in immediate and lasting relief.
The warm-heat effect of moxibustion has a close relation to the warm receptors (WRs) inducing heat shock proteins (HSPs) in local tissues.
This can lead to vasodilatation around the area, increase peripheral arterial blood flow and microvascu-lar permeability, hence improved circulation. Healing then can take place.

MODERN MOXA

Practitioners now use special heating balls to warm regions and meridian points with the intention of stimulating circulation and inducing a smoother flow of blood and ‘qi’.
Some believe it can treat conditions associated with the ‘yang deficiency’ or cold and dampness in the body,
The first modern scientific publication on moxa therapy was written by the Japanese physician Hara Shimetarō at the Kyūshū Imperial University, who conducted intensive research in 1927 about its health benefits:
• Alleviates pain, expels coldness and blood stasis.
• Helps in normalizing or lowering blood pressure.
• Activates the body’s cells to heal wounds faster.
• Works as an enhancement for digestive diseases.
• Clears impurities and toxins from the body.
• Strengthens the body’s metabolism.
• Normalizes acidic blood to alkali blood.
• Helps in restoring the body’s youth
For more information on Moxibustion, and FREE 30-day trial therapy, you may contact Fuji Wellness Center at their hotline # 0917 553 1996 or email at [email protected]. Thank you Fuji!
