PINURI ni Manila Mayor Isko Moreno ang mga miyembro ng Manila Police District (MPD) dahil hindi ito mga ‘trigger-happy’ at hinuhuli ang mga ‘wanted’ sa lungsod upang hindi ito maging pugad ng mga kriminal at pugante sa batas.
“Pinupuri ko ang MPD na hindi makati ang kamay sa gatilyo at buhay na nakakalawit ang mga tolongges pero kapag ginawa ninyo ang krmen sa Maynila, magtago na kayo sa lelang nyong panot dahil sigurado, hahabulin kayo ng MPD,” diin ng alkalde.
Aniya, kuntento Ito sa mga pulis ng MPD sa ilalim ng liderato ni Brig.Gen. Leo Francisco, dahil sinisigurado nito na buhay ang mga suspek upang makaharap sa mga paglilitis ng kaso.
“Sa mga hinahabol at humahabol, iginagalang ang mata ng batas para sa lahat,”ani Moreno.
Partikular na binati ng alkalde si Francisco at ang lahat ng MPD members sa patuloy nitong pagtugis sa mga ‘wanted’ na nilalang dahil ayon sa kanya ang pananatili ng mga ito sa komunidad ay naglalagay sa buhay ng mga inosenteng mamamayan sa panganib.
Pinuri rin nito ang national and local-based Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa aktibong kampanya laban sa iligal na droga at sa patuloy na hakbangin ng mga ito na ilayo ang mga kalye sa Maynila sa mga illegal drug activities.
“I am proud to say that recently, through the efforts of Gen. Francicso and the PDEA, 46 kilos of shabu were seized in just one day.
Nawala ito sa palad ng mga Batang Maynila na maari pang kumalat sa Metro Manila o sa bansa,” anito.
Natutuwa ring ipinahayag ng alkalde na ang mga nakukumpiskang droga ay hindi nawawala pagkatapos ng mga operasyon.
“Habang ang mahihirap ay pinagsusumikapang tulungan sa Maynila, ang mga perwisyo sa kapwa ay tinutugis,” pagtitiyak nito.
Binigyang diin ni Moreno na sa kabila na abala ang mga opisyal ng lungsod sa COVID-19, tuloy pa rin ang mga hakbangin upang mapanatili ang katahimikan at kaayusan sa lungsod. VERLIN RUIZ
