AABOT sa 1,392 indibidwal o 345 pamilya ang lumikas na sa pa­ligid ng Bulkang Taal sa Batangas.

Inihayag ni National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) Spokesperson Mark Timbal hanggang ala-5 ng umaga kahapon isinasagawa ang naturang paglilikas.

Sa datos ng Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC) ng Batangas, 317 pamilya o 1,282 indibidwal ang nasa 11 evacuation cen­ters habang 28 pamilya o 110 indibiduwal ang pansamantalang tumutuloy sa mga kamag-anak sa mas ligtas na lugar.

Ang mga lumikas ay mula sa 13 apektadong barangays sa 6 na bayan at siyudad sa Batangas.

Ang mga apektadong lugar ay ang Brgy. Poblacion at Sinturisan sa San Nicolas, Batangas; Brgy. Gulod, Boso Boso, Bugaan West, Bugaan East sa Laurel; Subic Ilaya, Banyaga, at Bilibinwang sa Agoncillo; Brgy. Apacay sa Taal; Brgy. Luyos at Boot sa Tanauan City; at Brgy. San Sebastian sa Balete.

Nagbabala naman ang mga kinatawan ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) sa posibleng muling pagsabog ng bulkan kaya dobleng pag-iingat at alerto ang dapat na gawin ng mga residenteng malapit dito. EUNICE CELARIO

NAKAALERTO ang mga tauhan ng AFP Southern Luzon Command at maging ang kanilang mga military asset sa posibleng massive evacuation kasunod ng pahayag ng state seismologist na maaring magkaroon ng malakas na pagsabog ang Bulkang Taal.

Ipinag utos na ni incoming AFP Southern Luzon Command chief Maj. General Bartolome Bacarro kasalukuyang 2nd Infantry Division commander na may sakop sa CALABARZON na ideploy ang kanilang mga tauhan, mga sasakyan at kagamitan sa mga apektadong municipalities sa paligid ng Taal Volcano.

Ayon sa Joint Task Group Taal na pinamumunuan ni Gen Rommel Tello, tuloy tuloy ang ginagawa nilang ugnayan sa local chief executives para asistihan ang mga ito sakaling maganap ang Taal Volcanic eruption.

Nabatid na on call din ang mga tauhan ng AFP SOLCOM habang naka-deploy na ang pu­wersa ng 2nd Infantry Division at Phil Air Force’s 730th Combat Group sa apektadong munisipalidad ng Batangas.
