NCH HEALTH WORKERS NAG-RALLY PARA SA PATAS NA COVID-19 BENEFITS

NAGSAGAWA ng kilos protesta ang mga health workers ng National Children’s Hospital (NCH) upang hilingin ang pagkakaroon ng patas na benepisyo sa COVID-19 at panatilihin ito sa ilalim ng Bayanihan Law 2 gaya ng Special Risk Allowance (SRA), Active Hazard Duty Pay (AHDP) at Meal , Accomodation and Transaportation Allowances (MAT) nitong Huwebes ng tanghali sa Quezon City.

Nagpahayag nang pagkadismaya ang mga raliyistang health workers sa kinalabasan ng Bicameral Committee meeting on health workers’ COVID-19 benefits na ginanap nitong Pebrero 2.

Sa ginanap na Bicameral committee umano ay pinagtibay ang ang bersyon ng Senado at hindi ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso.

Anila, ang COVID-19 benefits ng health workers ay tinawag nang ‘Health Emergency Allowance’ na kanilang mariing tinututulan.

“We are upset because they just changed the name. but the gist is likewise the same. The result of the Bicameral conference meeting is an outright insult to us health workers as it blatantly disregardas our heroism in this time of pandemic,” pahayag ni Robert Mendoza, pangulo ng Alliance of Health Workers (AHW).

Nabatid na ang nasabing bill ay hinihintay pang lagdaan ng pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

“We call on the attention of President Duterte to leave a good legacy in favor of our safety, protection and welfare before his term ends in June,” panawagan naman ni Jever Bernardo, presidente ng National Children’s Hospital Employees Association-Alliance of Health Workers (NCHEA-AHW).
